A man with a Killer's face (Orig. title: Tappajan näköinen mies) is Matti Rönkä's first book in the series about detective Viktor Kärppä.

In this first book, Kärppä is hired by a man who wants him to find his missing wife. This will be the beginning of a series of adventures for Karppä in an underwolrd made of drugs, criminality, Russian KGB and much more.

One of the most interesting aspects in Matti Rönkä's writing is the political and social focus in his novels, as well as the unicity of chosing Helsinki, Russia and Baltic countries, something quite unexplored in crime literature.

In this crime novel, written in a sarcastic and humoristic style, Matti Rönkä shows that Finnish crime novels can be as intriguing as other Scandinavian crime novels, but with a sarcastic and humoristic touch that makes them unique.

This novel has been shortlisted in the Deutscher Krimi Preis and has been translated to many countries, like Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

Utgiven 2010 är Den farliga leken en spännande roman av Mari Jungstetd, en väldigt fängslande berättelse på nästan fyrahundrasidor. Den farliga leken är Mari Jungstedts åttonde roman, något väldigt imponerande med tanke på att denna väldigt produktiva författarinna skrev sin första kriminalroman 2003.

Ännu en gång befinner vi oss på Gotland och som vanligt följer vi kommissarien Anders Knutas i ytterligare ett spännande fall. Denna gång är det dock ingen sommaridyll, utan snarare en gråare miljö som vi läser om.

Den farliga leken är en väldigt spännande deckare och det tar inte så länge innan man blir biten och måste veta vad som händer. Romanen kretsat kring olika liv. Först Jenny, en världsberömd modell som återkommer till Gotland för att göra ett modereportage. Det finns modefotografen Markus, som misshandlas och hamnar på sjukhuset. Och sedan finns även Agnes, som skulle blivit modell men som i stället blev anorektiker.

Unseen

Unseen is Mari Jungstedt’s debut as a crime writer. Released in 2003, this detective novel was acclaimed by both readers and critics. Since then Mari Jungstedt is an established author whose books have been translated into various languages all over the world.

In Unseen we find for the very first time some of the recurring characters of Mari Jungstedt, such as police inspector Anders Knut. And like in Mari Jungstedt’s other crime novels even Unseen takes place on the Swedish island of Gotland; this is a beautiful landscape and a very well-liked environment where Mari Jungstedt loves to set her novels.

The Preacher

The preacher was written in 2004 and is Camilla Läckberg’s second crime novel. As in The Ice Princess, we once again follow the life of Patrick and Erica in the small fishing village Fjällbacka on the Swedish west coast. Just like Camilla Läckberg’s breakthrough novel from 2003, this novel too is a very exciting detective story.

On day, a young boy who is playing outdoors finds the body of a dead woman. The little community of Fjällbacka is shocked. The case becomes even more serious when the police find two skeletons hidden under the body. After analyzing the remains, the two skeletons turn out to belong to two women who disappeared in 1979. Understanding what kind of connection there is between the woman's murder and the two skeletons is what the police will try to do in The Preacher.
